Laminates

"First impression is the last impression." Inspired by this principal rule of the interior design industry, Durian started its state of the art factory for the manufacturing of decorative High Pressure Laminates on 1st Feb 2006. Decorative laminates are used to customize and beautify the surface of plywood and other base materials so as to suite the aesthetics and interiors of any given space.

Along with Decorative High Pressure Laminates, our factory is also equipped to produce Metal Foil Laminates, Abrasion Resistant Laminates, Dry Wipe Marker Board Laminates, Chalk Board Laminates, Post Forming Laminates, Digital Printed Laminates, Screen Printed Laminates and Door Skins to name a few.

Keeping quality in mind, the factory is certified for ISI 2046:1995, ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004. We have also incorporated a 7-point Quality Control System to ensures that every single one of our laminated sheets goes through seven different quality control checkpoints during its production period. This ensures that only the highest qualities of products are made available to our valuable customers.

Our factory also has a state-of-the-art chemical plant, which manufactures resins used in the production of laminates. Having a modern plant allows our R&D team to experiment with innovative materials to produce quality resins that will stand the test of time. As a result, we are the only brand in the country to offer BFT (Borer, Fungus, Termite) Guard in all our laminates.

The company understands the importance of technology, both in terms of the machinery used and also with regard to the processes that enable optimal working of the factory. As a result, we have acquired quality equipments to enable us to supply our product to markets throughout India and also to countries in South-East Asia and the Middle East.

Keeping technology in mind, we have successfully integrated a Barcode enabled dispatch system that provides us with increased efficiency and accuracy in activities relating to stock maintenance and materials dispatch. We take pride in the fact that Durian is currently the only laminate manufacturing unit in the country to use such a system. We are also in the process of further expanding our current system to become an end-to-end ERP system.

Due to the stringent 7-point quality check, high service standards and excellent infrastructure, we were able to realize the factory’s full production capacity in less than 2 year’s time. Today the factory employs over 132 skilled professionals and is operational 24 hours a day. In order to meet the ever-increasing demands for our laminates, we have already increasing our monthly production capacity from 90,000 sheets to over 160,000 sheets by installing a new press.
